PPQ Blackout

A/W Collection Fashion Film

British fashion label PPQ presents Blackout

An Exclusive look at PPQ’s new Blackout Collection produced, shot & directed by Hidden Agency.

The video was featured on Rankin’s Hunger TV and Grazia Magazine UK.

Liam Hidden was the director of this Fashion Video featuring PPQ London’s latest collection. I loved shooting this video, because the process was so real and artistic. I loved playing my role and the way Liam works.  From putting together the whole mood of the story, to the efforts him and his team brought to light when building and rebuilding the sets until they were exactly right. Mirrors are tricky because of reflections and such graphic sets require absolute perfection to create the impact wanted.

The character is a slightly twisted and restless girl that has two sides to her personality. She’s torn between darkness, boredom and melancholy and lives in a cold, empty space. She’s tuff but lonely.

The shoot location was an East London factory hall in February. The team of set builders, video- and glam crew, designer, stylist assistant and hair and makeup people made out to be about 20 in total. Filming took one day and almost a full night. The team was working constantly. There was a lot of waiting for me, because the sets took a while to prepare. I loved every minute of it and didn’t feel the hours passing, the cold nor tiredness. it was just so thrilling to be working on such a beautiful project. I can go on and on when I am working on a set like this. I’ve arrived at shoots after a sleepless night on a plane and was able to work without anyone realising that I was deeply tired. I just power through and turn it on when required. It comes with experience maybe. 🙂 I also loved the hair and makeup and the gorgeous clothes of course.
