Social responsibility is in our DNA. The Sweaters are made at a family-run factory in Nepal whose Buddhist ethos we share. The yarn comes from Mongolia from spinners who are committed to sustainable sourcing and continually innovate their processes. The yarn is selected in small batches, meaning zero waste. All our pieces are hand- finished and hand-dyed; rainwater is used in the dying process along with non-toxic dyes. Our clothes are knitted and hand- finished with care; from the animals that produce the fibres to the workers that make the garments.
About the collaboration:
My capsule pieces comprise ultimate luxury essentials; items that I was missing in my wardrobe.
Colours and cuts are clean, cool and can be equally worn with your 501's strolling through a snowy ski- resort town or over a bikini during a chilly summer cruise. Each drop includes new limited edition colours.
In collaboration with Jean & Temple, I designed a boyfriend- fit jumper in a refined cashmere to wool blend with a velvety feel and a substantial fluffy loft and the highest grade materials.
The design with relaxed sleeves, tapered arms and hip, can see you from your yoga class on a freezing morning to a meeting in town worn with leather jeans and heels. The sweater gives you many styling possibilities; the loose neck allows you to wear a white shirt underneath, a necklace or foulard. Roll the tapered sleeves up, wear the jumper tucked in or out.
I like to wear my Cashmere on bare skin. It is one of my favourite materials because it regulates temperature and hugs you like a lover. You won't want to take it off.
I wanted the production to be as sustainable as possible. Jean & Temple works with a Nepalese factory that pays their workers fairly. They follow a Buddhist calendar and take great care of the garments. Each section is machine- knitted and dyed by hand, then sewn together. The yarn comes from an eco-conscious company that uses non-toxic dye and invests into internships in Mongolia.
